Nieuw: Ardbeg 19yo Traigh Bhan Batch 7
Vanaf vandaag hebben we beperkt de 7e en laatste release in de Traigh Bhan serie van Ardbeg op voorraad, de Ardbeg 19yo Traigh Bhan Batch 7. Deze release is gedistilleerd op 19 januari 2006 en heeft gerijpt in een combinatie van American oak en Oloroso sherry vaten. De zijn in februari 2025 gebotteld op 50,3%, non chill filtered en zonder toevoeging van kleurstoffen, als een gelimiteerde small batch release.
Official tasting notes:
Nose: An intense aroma of rich smoky coal dust and tar confronts the senses, softened by invigorating peppermint and eucalyptus sweetness. A touch of water reveals hidden layers: a floral and herbal medley, hinting at lavender serenity, jasmine elegance, and a whisper of bog myrtle.
Palate: The palate bursts with citrus notes of lemon peel and bergamot, flowing into waves of classic Ardbeg medicinal smoke. The influence of Oloroso sherry casks follows, with warming spices of finger and cumin, cascading into a dry cocoa powder sensation and espresso.
Finish: The finish is long, lingering with a balance of salted toffee, charred wood, tar and burning sweet heather, all underpinned by warming spices.
